At the core of these questions we can identify the influence of our current knowledge paradigm and believes, we can revisit fundamental questions that are still revolving in the minds of many including scientist, philosophers, mystics…

Questions around the ideas of determinism, free will, intelligent design, the nature of consciousness...

I will explore this questions from a perspective of the suggested new paradigm of knowledge, as this factor is at the root of the transition.

What all these questions and ideas have in common is that they are build from the heritage of writing technics, that is the use of symbolization to represent reality, a paradigm based on representation, what ever the nature of the representation is, could be numbers, words, concepts, drawings, equations, models, geometry, theories... In the sciences, we test our symbolization, our models against "reality" by experimentation, looking for proof from an "observer" position, now also giving power to computer simulation as a source of objectivity.

We have been looking for that equation, formula, model or theory that could explain all we observe without finding it, but there is another more important void for which science has nothing to say up to now, and this has to do with our condition, our freedom to observe the world as we want, we can observe nature through the lens of maths, philosophy, art, religion. If we query the nature in meters, it will reply in meters...

This approach to knowledge had led us into the obsession for prediction, into the perceived need for control, and it's related anxiety. Data collection is the new obsession, the new battlefield supported by the belief that "control" of nature will cure our fears and anxieties, that the more data we collect the closer we will be from understanding and controlling reality. Now "science" became the authority that dictates what is possible, that sets the boundary of our freedoms, it became a tool for power, for politics.

Considering the idea that we understand the world through the techniques that we have, then the shift from writing techniques to coding techniques represents a colossal change in how we relate to knowledge and reality it might very well signal the changing of an Era.

So we will compare writing techniques from coding techniques, looking for the epistemic value in coding techniques.
